Brook Murphy- LCSW, BCN
Making the decision to begin therapy is a brave step. I honor that courage by approaching therapy with compassion, curiosity, honesty, and humor when needed. Together, we can create a safe and trusting space to explore how you experience yourself, your relationships, and the world.
I draw on a decade of experience working in the mental health field with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, eating disorders, relationship issues, domestic violence, and sexual assault. I am board certified in Neurofeedback and often use various mindfulness and biofeedback techniques to build emotional regulation skills. I am also trained in EMDR and EFT to help clients experience healing from trauma and find reconnection with themselves and their important relationships. Additionally, I draw from ACT, DBT, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic theories, and other evidence-based modalities.
Outside of the office, I can be found hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, or at the lake with my dog, Ember. I enjoy spending time with loved ones, reading, creative projects, and savoring a great cup of coffee. I am excited to invest in your growth with you and look forward to the journey!
