Erin Black- CSW

Erin believes that every person is unique and complex and that most people are trying their best. She views each person as the expert of their own experience and collaborates with her clients to help them meet their goals in a way that works for them. She knows it takes a great deal of trust and effort to engage in therapy, and feels honored to be part of that work.

Erin enjoys working with couples, individuals, and families. She has experience treating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief/loss, emotional dysregulation, OCD, trauma, and more. She especially loves teaching people how to cultivate emotional wellness using what research has taught us about the body and brain.

Erin earned her master’s degree in social work from Utah State University. She uses an integrated, strengths based approach to therapy offering positive and practical strategies derived from evidence based treatment models, including Motivational Interviewing, ACT, CBT, DBT, EFT, EMDR, SFT, and Narrative Therapy. She often draws on her personal experiences to help illustrate what these strategies look like in real life so her clients really understand what it looks like to implement and draw strength from them.

Outside of work Erin and her husband enjoy watching their kids play sports and participate in theater and musical performances. Her children are both her biggest and most difficult blessing. Sunshine is her one true love and she tries to get as much as she can.
